From a simple idea to an internationally renowned brand
One thing connects the three men behind Cruising Home: a passion for life on the water. A passion that led to the founding of CRUISING HOME in 2013, a 100% subsidiary of the SRF shipyard in Harlingen, Netherlands, which has been constructing tailor-made steel vessels for customers from across the world for over 40 years.
We take responsibility for people and the environment
Living on the water means loving the water. So you can take it as read that we want to protect this valuable resource and design our vessels to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We fit our vessels with particularly efficient diesel motors that can also be operated using low-CO2 synthetic C.A.R.E. diesel. One further opportunity to reduce CO2 emissions is the use of solar panels, which turn your Cruising Home from an energy consumer to an energy producer. Get in touch – we are happy to advise!
Rolf Gast – your contact, adviser and supporter on your path towards a dream vessel
Rolf Gast manages the CRUISING HOME head office in Düsseldorf. He is not just your first port of call; he will also advise and help you all the way towards acquiring your CRUISING HOME: from initial queries to delivery. Rolf Gast and his family are operators of the Marina Düsseldorf, a yacht harbour on the Rhine.

Marco Brattinga – the construction of your Cruising Home is in his expert hands
Marco Brattinga has been a project manager at the SRF shipyard since 2015. He will support the build of your mobile or stationary CRUISNG HOME, from planning to delivery. He is in close contact with Rolf Gast and Olivier van Meer. Marco Brattinga is already looking forward to meeting you in person during the build phase in Harlingen.
